Music

The transition from GCSE to A-level music might seem a little daunting but there are a number of things you can do over the summer to prepare yourselves.

One of the biggest differences between GCSE Music and A Level Music is the expectation upon students not only to know their set works in detail, but also to be able to place music into social, cultural and historical contexts. In order to do this, you will need to engage in a wider listening programme of study and be able to fluently relate your arguments to these non-set works in the essays you write.
