Post Results Services

Once you have received your examination results, the following Post Results services are available should they be required:

Review of marking

Exam boards review their marking to ensure your work was marked accurately in line with the mark scheme. Reviewers will not re-mark the script. They are trained to act to correct any errors identified in the original marking.
*Outcome within 20 calendar days of receipt of request by the exam board (15 days for priority reviews - A Level only)

As a result of a review of marking, your grade could go up, stay the same or go down, therefore you must give your consent before paying for this service.

Clerical re-check

Exam boards re-check that all marks have been included and added up correctly.
*Outcome within 10 calendar days of receipt of request by the exam board

As a result of a clerical re-check, your grade could go up, stay the same or go down, therefore you must give your consent before paying for this service.

Access to scripts To help you decide whether to request a review of marking, you may request a copy of your script. Copies of scripts may also be requested to support future teaching and learning (e.g. if you decide to re-sit your exam).
*Outcome within 1 calendar days of receipt of request by the exam board

* Please see below for information on how requests will be prioritised by the school

For further information from JCQ, please see here.

Requesting Post Results Services

Posts results services can only be requested via the links below. Services cannot be actioned in person by visiting the exams office nor can requests be made direct to the exam boards. Please note that payment (by credit/debit card) is required at the time of the request.

A Level: https://www.trybooking.com/uk/DKOB

GCSE: https://www.trybooking.com/uk/DNSU

Bishop Wordsworth's School charges a £5 administration fee per paper for post exam services. This fee is included in the prices quoted on our Trybooking site and is non-refundable. Trybooking charges a non-refundable ticket fee of £0.15 per paper and a 5% card processing fee which will be added at checkout.

As this is a very busy and pressurised period, all requests for exam services will be prioritised as follows:

  • Priority Requests will be submitted to the exam board within 2 working days of receipt.
  • Non-Priority Requests for Review of Marking and Clerical Rechecks will be submitted to the exam board within 5 working days of receipt.
  • Other requests will be submitted to the exam board by the exam board deadlines.

Post Results Services – Outcomes

All outcomes from the post results services will be issued to students via their Teams account – students who go on to study at other schools or colleges can also still access their outcomes in this way, as their Teams account will be open until the end of October.

Appeals

If you think an awarding body has made an error on a review of results (review of marking or moderation) or not applied its procedures consistently, properly or fairly, it’s possible to submit an ‘appeal’.

Please note that:

  • If you are unhappy with a result, you first need to submit a review of results and receive the outcome before you can submit an appeal.
  • Appeals can only be submitted by the school but you should read the information here to familiarise yourself with the appeals process.
  • Appeals must be submitted to the exam board within 30 calendar days of them issuing the review of results.
  • School requires 3 working days to process your appeal.
  • If you wish to appeal, contact "Exam Results" via Teams with details including your supporting information (see the examples here)
  • School cannot submit your appeal without first receiving the appropriate fee. If you decide to go ahead with an appeal, we will send you a payment link. All fees are per paper. If your appeal is successful, the fee will be refunded. We cannot refund your fee in any other circumstance.
