Sexual Health
This is taught as part of our PSHRE programme throughout their time in secondary school as per government guidelines. In accordance with Bishop Wordsworth's School’s PSHE policy; parents/guardians have the right to withdraw their sons (11 – 16) from all or part of the sex education element of PSHRE. https://www.bishopwordsworths.org.uk/assets/Uploads/PHRSE.pdf
At the end of Year 9 we have a member of The Wiltshire Sexual Health Service come and speak to students in more depth about sexual health and contraception.
Pupils are also able to speak to our School Nurse at the ‘Drop In Clinic’ that is run in the Pastoral Support Office in the Main School every Thursday lunchtime.
