Library

The library is situated on the ground floor of the Chapel Block and is open to all members of the school community. It aims to reflect the educational culture of the school by providing resources to support academic progress and also to encourage a love of reading for pleasure through a varied collection of both fiction and non-fiction.

It is a welcoming and positive environment with both desks and comfortable seating available on both floors, providing space for independent study, quiet work, or simply to read and relax.

Induction sessions are held for the Year 7 boys and additional library activities are held throughout the year. The library supports the school reading scheme, Reading Passports, and BWS is proud to be part of the Salisbury Schools’ Book Awards, an annual reading challenge.

An enthusiastic team of student librarians assist with the day to day running of the library and all students are always welcome to make suggestions or requests for books.
